WarmFuzzy’s operates on a shoe string and make many personal sacrifices in our efforts to save lives. We try to coordinate more direct adoptions but currently do very few as most of the animals we rescue are ferals, so adoption donations are few and far between.
Almost all of the animals that come through our doors stay here at WarmFuzzy’s. We do receive donations and are grateful for the generosity of our supporters and the fact that these gifts often arrive at the times when we need help the most. Still it’s not enough to cover the on-going costs of vetting, medications, food and related necessities.
Give yourself a warmfuzzy by helping us. Please send your donations to WarmFuzzy’s, RR 1 Box 50K, Drexel, MO 6472. Thank you.

No help for poor Sassy so far. Time is running out. Do you know someone who’d want a declawed, calm cat to have as a companion? Know any senior cat rescues? Can anyone take her in? Please let me know ASAP! Thank you!
Please crosspost!

Subject: Declawed Senior Cat Is Homeless, Owner Going to Nursing Home in two weeks!!!!

There is a disabled older woman moving into a senior care facility at the end of October. She has a 12 year old cat who cannot go with her. They don’t allow pets in the unit she has to go into. This woman is desperate to find her cat of 12 years a safe place to go so she isn’t forced to take her to a shelter where she’ll likely die.
Sassy is a declawed, spayed female who has been an inside cat since 6 weeks of age, which is when this lady got her. She has a white chest and paws, has some black and a few spots of orange. Sounds calico but the lady said she was told she is tabby. Sassy is used to being the only cat/pet. She likes to be with people and is okay with older kids. As an older cat, she prefers a quiet, calm environment. Sassy had her kitty shots when younger, but hasn’t been back since due to her owner not being able to afford it. She is healthy, although she is skinny. Sassy would be a great companion for an older person. Sassy’s whole world will turn upside down in a week or so. Can anyone take her in and make sure she is safe?
If you know of someone that would want her as their pet and offer a forever home OR if you know a rescue that could take her in and foster her, please email me at kimtou@yahoo.com or 816-719-6688. The lady will need to find a place in the next week for her to go.

Wednesday night, the Empire State Building will be illuminated in red and yellow to celebrate China’s 1949 communist revolution. Should one of New York’s great landmarks be used to honor of the 60th anniversary of the bloody Communist uprising and takeover of China?

Subject: Springfield Abuse & Neglect Camp

Don't let me die this way
Please read the email from my friend below. It is just another example of the horrible treatment these animals are suffering at the hands of humans. Not only will this pup be in pain from his wound, but since he was surrendered by his owners, most likely, he will be drug into the room where they jab a needle into his heart to cause a heart attack. No sedation will be used.
So, we have a dog that has been mistreated, neglected and now will be tortured. This hell on earth for animals in Springfield doesn’t care because they know they are going to kill him anyway. They care so little about animals that there is no way they are going to seek justice for his treatment by previous owners.
Why am I sending out this email? To remind all of you that even though we don’t have a magical answer about Springfield, we must be reminded of their horrific treatment of animals.

Here’s another picture for proof of inhumane treatment and not seeking vet care for the animals that need it in the Springfield, MO animal control.
This dog has an open wound (maybe road rash?) on his head that could easily get infected if not treated. Pictures clearly show it.
And this dog it says was turned in by its owners apparently. Well, the owners should be charged with animal cruelty for nearly starving this dog to death! Is law enforcement getting involved in this situation? Did the shelter contact the authorities on this? I doubt it.
Hoping this evidence will help in some small way.
