Subject: Kansas City area two 10wk old chow pups

These 2 poor babies are puppy mill surrenders, We have a wonderful guy here in Wichita who is working with the large scale breeders to take some of the poor dogs who can no longer breed and find them homes so they can finally be a loved pet, he also gets pups that due to medical issues they are not able to sell, these poor pups fall into that category. Mum chewed the toes off the little girls front 2 feet, and the boy had an infection in his eyes before they were even open so now he has ‘cloudy eyes’ he is able to see they are just not sure how much. They have both been treated and there should be no on going medical treatment required. They must be spoken for by early Friday as the breeder will bring them to Kansas city. If anyone has room for these 2 special babies please let me know asap! If i afraid there is no photo

Thank you

Subject: Fw: Disappointed in rescues. No Shade, No Water, NO Chance. Now he dies. Jonesboro GA

CLAYTON COUNTY – JONESBORO, GA

OFFICER PHILLIPS PLEADING FOR THIS BOY “BARNEY” – HE IS SO VERY SPECIAL – PLEASE COME & GET HIM TODAY – HE HAS SUFFERED ENOUGH – LET’S SHOW HIM WHAT A GOOD LIFE CAN? BE LIKE -

PLEEEZE CALL HER NOW? 770-477-3684

A Shih Tzu at this very shelter came in and was gone in 2 days. They received over 100 calls on her, and rescues literally fighting over the dog.  Barney has slept on a concrete floor for OVER a week, and may very well be on tomorrows kill table. The shih tzu of course deserved a chance, but Barney does too. He has the BEST personality, and has been through a lot of abuse, more than most dogs.  He requires less vetting as he has no physical injuries.  Because the Shih Tzu was CUTER, she is alive and sleeping in somebody’s bed.  Barney will spend his last night in a stinky, hot, hard floor shivering in terror tonight.  Tomorrow AM since no rescue has even called to see how he is doing, there is a good chance his life will be taken from him.  Officer Phillips may be able to spare him until tuesday, but i can not say for sure one way or the other.  PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE call tomorrow AM @ 8 and save this dogs life.? He will be forever greatful.  It’s disappointing that this wonderful, young, shelter favorite dog will die because he is big.? He has the BIGGEST heart of any dog at Clayton county.

Barney is in a situation, no pet wants to be.  Sadly for him…he has a few strikes already against him.

He is big. 50-60 lbs

He is Black. (but has cute white markings)

He is in a HIGH kill Animal control

The animal control is VERY full.

He was tied out and abandoned… no owner is missing him :-(

His death date has already been set, and he is just basically waiting for it to come.

This being said, Barney still deserves to live. He is a special boy, who in 5 minutes captured they heart of an animal control officer who sees dogs every single day, abused, abandoned, neglected, and hopeless ones.  Officer Tiffany Phillips rescued Barney from a short chain, in 98*degree weather.  No Shade, No Water, No Life.  Officer Phillips rescued Barney from that situation, and knowing his chances of ever walking out of this animal control alive were slim to none, she gave him a hug, took his picture and put him in his kennel.

Barney’s euthanasia date should have been tomorrow AM, but he has gotten a 3 day extension.  PLEASE make it worth it!!!  If a rescue does not step up, he WILL be on the friday kill list, and a dog who loves people will never know love back.  Barney  is a VERY well manner boy, with a gentle, calm disposition.

He loves everyone, and walked into the Animal Control with his tail wagging and loving every pet on the head and treat Officer Phillips had to offer.
Please don’t let this happy dog who walked in the front door with his tail wagging, go out the back door as dead weight in a body bag.

Officer Phillips Comments:
Please save me, I was impounded by Ofc. Phillips because my owner had me chained up in the heat with no shelter. When my owner found out I had been impounded , he decided to leave me here ; (…Now I hope that I make it out alive… I am a big boy, but very sweet and gentle and did not deserve to be tied up like I was . Please help me find a better life with someone who will let me a member of the family. I am available now but it is urgent that I get out because they are very crowded…All animals adopted from Clayton Co Animal Control must be spayed or neutered within 30 days of adoption. A low cost spay/neuter certificate will be issued to adopting families at the time of adoption. Rescues please have copy of Dept. of Aug. license and permission form if you are sending someone other than the license holder, also picture I.D. All animals posted are at risk to be euthanized at any time due to overcrowding under severe circumstances. All animals are considered urgent after their available date has passed. Please call or come in….Thank you…..

My name is Luis and I have been at Bladen County Animal Control for so long with no hope of ever getting out and now my time was up. Then yesterday someone saw my handsome face and called the volunteer to say they wanted to add me to their family. The volunteer pulled me from this high kill gas shelter and I was able to see the outside once again. The sun was shining and it was a beautiful day. I just couldn’t believe that I was finally getting out of that horrible place and that my second chance had finally arrived, in the nick of time no doubt. I was so excited I couldn’t stop wagging my tail thinking someone was going to give me my forever home. They even had me vetted so I’m UTD on all my shots, I’ve been neutered and I was leaving to go on transport to my forever home.

Then the unthinkable happened. They called back to say, they decided to get a different dog. WHAT ARE THEY THINKING??? THEY DIDN’T EVEN GIVE ME A CHANCE…….I’M WONDERFUL …..I’M HANDSOME, VERY CHARMING, I GET ALONG GREAT WITH OTHER DOGS AND KIDS, WHAT’S NOT TO LOVE? THEY GAVE UP ON ME BEFORE THEY EVEN KNEW ME.? I am well behaved, love car rides and chicken nuggets – I take them so very gently from our fingers! I am an easy going 18month old who needs your help! Please!!

NOW I MAY HAVE TO GO BACK TO THE SHELTER AGAIN AND THAT’S JUST NOT FAIR. IS THERE ANYONE OUT THERE WHO CAN SAVE MY LIFE? IF SO, PLEASE CONTACT SILVIA THE VOLUNTEER AT 910-876-0539 FOR MORE DETAILS or email Bladenpets@yahoo.com . I PROMISE I HAVE MANY YEARS OF LOVE LEFT TO GIVE SOMEONE…..JUST GIVE ME THE OPPORTUNITY TO SHOW YOU !!!

I have not been to the shelter regularly in weeks due to a back injury.  This is unfortunate for the dogs :(  it’s been sad many have had to be put down due to space issues.  I have a current inventory of the dogs there – I do not have photos – I’m sorry.  These dogs unless spoken for will be put down on Friday and honestly it would be best if they are MOVED by Friday, but I may be able to negotiate a hold time if you need the weekend to get a spot open.

The following is the list of dogs that are avilable – remember they are all considered urgent and will be put down tomorrow if not spoken for.

F. Chow/Lab mix – black

M – Aussie mix (maybe BC) Black and white – AWESOME DOG I have seen him very good dog.

F – German Shepherd – Typical – she is stressed at the pound.  She appears to be purebred 2-4 years old.  We thought we had a rescue for her but they have backed out due to lack of foster space.  Please save her she is AWESOME you will not be disappointed with her at all.

3 – M Rott/Lab pups approximately 12 wks old.  Very social and healthy – had rescue but they have backed out.  They are Black and Tan.  They have been wormed and given DHLPP.  They will be put down on Friday as I have not been able to get another rescue to take them.  So sad the poor pups may die at the shelter :(

M – Eskimo dog cute dog – Avial on Saturday

F – Akita mix pup – looks very Akita stunning dog – Black and white 8-10 wks old

It’s a short list but they will die – I hate that a lot are pups…Please if you can help at all with any of the dogs listed please contact me at VLarkin@aol.com

I need to know as soon as you can because they will probably PTS by 10 AM…

Springfield, MO//Please don’t let me die this way

Don't let me die this way

Don't let me die this way

Please read the email from my friend below.  It is just another example of the horrible treatment these animals are suffering at the hands of humans.  Not only will this pup be in pain from his wound, but since he was surrendered by his owners, most likely, he will be drug into the room where they jab a needle into his heart to cause a heart attack.  No sedation will be used.
So, we have a dog that has been mistreated, neglected and now will be tortured.  This hell on earth for animals in Springfield doesn’t care because they know they are going to kill him anyway.  They care so little about animals that there is no way they are going to seek justice for his treatment by previous owners.
Why am I sending out this email?  To remind all of you that even though we don’t have a magical answer about Springfield, we must be reminded of their horrific treatment of animals.

Here’s another picture for proof of inhumane treatment and not seeking vet care for the animals that need it in the Springfield, MO animal control.
This dog has an open wound (maybe road rash?) on his head that could easily get infected if not treated. Pictures clearly show it.
And this dog it says was turned in by its owners apparently. Well, the owners should be charged with animal cruelty for nearly starving this dog to death! Is law enforcement getting involved in this situation? Did the shelter contact the authorities on this? I doubt it.
Hoping this evidence will help in some small way.
Marissa
