Subject: Praying for a Miracle
Today, I wrote to three friends and colleagues to let them know I’ve retired from rescue for I’m out of resources, money, & grace. A lot of damaged realtionships and misunderstandings have cropped up. I take my blame for my part yet not all of it is entirely my fault. Life, you know?
So I went over to a dear friend’s adoption center to hand over my last three crates for use so they can continue to help her with rescue. Only, I must be a sucker or whatever or God’s trying to tell me something…I don’t know…I saw a stray dog eating leftover feral cat food by the trains. I thought they belonged to the couple who was watering the plants so I didn’t do anything at first. Then they left the dog and I finally realized the dog was truly stray. I went over with slip lead & bowl of water. This dog is so sweet! Just COVERED with red skin…looks to be mange instead of sunburn. Very little hair. She’s a lady. She let me touch her and put the sliplead on her. It hit me then…I have NO resources. I can’t bring her home with me, no money, no nothing. Yet I promised her I’d see her to safety.
