Drexel, MO/Animal Rescue Org Needs Help
My name is Joyce Ellis and I run WarmFuzzy’s in a very rural area of
Missouri. We work primarily with feral cats (25 years) & currently have
4 that are adoptable right now. We are a 501c3.
Currently in my care are 25 ferals, 4 are tame, 2 need some more work
but are almost there, 1 mommy cat with 4 newborns (tame but not ready to
be adopted yet).
For the cats we need Frontline Plus, Kitten Milk Replacer, donations for
spaying & neutering ($15 per cat & we have 7 to go not including mommy &
kittens). We also need donations to get them all brought up to date on
vaccinations. We are also in need of cat toys, large high-sided covered
litter boxes, cat scratching posts, canned cat food, cat trees of any size.
We also have 4 dogs that we rescued:
Ruger: male is Bull Mastiff, Great Dane & Lab mix who had surgery to
save his front foot,
Duchess & Annie are Ruger’s nieces who are Bull Mastiff, Great Dane, Lab
(their mother), Chow & Rottie (their daddy). These two have shoulder
problems – bone grinding on bone & need to be on medication for this. A
recent rescue is Jazz a female Black & Tan Coon hound who was beaten and
has hip problems due to being beaten. She needs to be x-rayed and the
proper medication to help with her pain. Jazz also needs to be spayed.
We need donations so they can all be brought up to date on
vaccinations. We need Frontline Plus for these four.
As you might guess we have tons of bedding to wash & dry every day and
our washer & dryer are on their last legs.
Our mower and weed whacker are broke. With flea and tick season on top
of us it is going to get ugly fast.
We need a color printer that will make copies. Doesn’t need to fax. We
need that to make up flyer’s to get our kitties pictures and info out there.
A mobile home in much better shape than what we are currently are using
for our shelter has been donated to us. We need $300 to get it here. We
have almost all the materials needed to make the repairs to it except
for paint & new floor covering (vinyl).
I could use some hands on help. There are 14 litter boxes that need to
be cleaned every day.
